Leadership is hard. But it doesn’t have to be.

Sometimes in life, we don’t succeed at something because we simply don’t know the advice we need. Often, a leader begins his or her journey, full of passion, only to hit a wall of discouragement months into leading. What happened? It’s possible there was a missing element (or two) or missing tool or a team member that would bring the balance of strengths the team needed? I believe there are four essential elements that every winning team has. Four things you must focus on first. I noticed this and began writing this book in 2013 when I was traveling to churches around the US sharing my music or preaching. I noticed patterns in the churches that were truly impacting their city. I wrote them down and have noticed time and time again that churches who focused on these four thing had momentum and impact. While churches (and teams) who didn’t have these four things as their focus faltered. As I launched two business and devoured leadership articles and studied companies that were making waves, these same principles emerged. This book is an attempt to give you the “how.”

My first leadership book, The Process of a Leader, teaches you the “why” of leadership; in it we search our hearts and discuss the pitfalls Satan would use to take us out of leadership or prevent us from ever beginning. In this book, my aim is to give you the “how” of leadership.

Think of it as a tour guide coaching you through developing a winning strategy for your church or kingdom-building business! There are leaders building God’s Kingdom in the marketplace and the pulpit and I believe both will benefit greatly from this book. A church is not a business, far from it. Yet many principles for leading a team to exponential impact are rooted in Biblical truth and illustrated in the life of Jesus. These are what we cover. These four essentials can be applied in both ministry teams and marketplace teams in order to reach your goals and succeed as a team. Ultimately, I’m hoping your organization brings glory to Jesus and is wildly effective. I’m praying that as you read this book and watch the videos in the the online course, you will be set up for exponential impact! I truly believe if you will focus on these four things first, you’ll gain the leverage you need to have the impact you want to have for King Jesus.
